| The major area we are working on thus far is the world-famous Wolong Nature Reserve for Giant Pandas located in Sichuan, China. HELP has established a close connection with the local government, villages, panda research and breeding center, and local schools. Knowing the exact needs of the Wolong residents, HELP aims to help improve the conditions of both the local community and the natural environment they live in. |

| HELP provides medical books to local hospitals in Wolong Nature Reserve |
Aug. 10th, Wolong and Gengda townships, as a request from the local hospitals, HELP provided medical books valued ~ 2500 RMB to the two township health centers.
A good team of local doctors and nurses were orgnized through the three rounds of HELP’s medical consultation program in the first half of 2009. An issue emerged from the program was the limited capacity of the team members. Township and village level doctors in China had little chance to receive nesessary medical education and trainings, and their professional knowledge and skills are sometimes not enough to solve problems they met in daily and the consultation work. This situation is even worsened after the earthquake. To help improving the theoritical and technical ability of local medical professionals, HELP is initiating a new project to provide books to the two local health centers. In the first round, over 40 books valued ~ 2500 RMB were purchased for the doctors and nurses and a small HELP library has been established in each center. All books were identified to be necessary by the director of Wolong Township Health Center, Ms. Peng Jufeng.
