In 2006, HELP raised about 14,775 RMB (~1450 Euros) were raised to buy more than 500 books, dictionaries, and maps and 55 backpacks for the students in the four remote primary schools in Wolong. The schools were so poor that even the teachers did not enough funds to buy teaching materials. The response from the kids and their teachers to the donation was unexpectedly warm.
